9 Square In The Air Game Set

Add excitement to games by raising the court over players’ heads! 9 Square in the Air combines elements of volleyball and 4 Square, but expands the court to 9 squares and raises it off the ground. The elevated frame includes 8 squares surrounding one in the middle, with a player in each square. The player in the middle, also known as the king, serves the ball through the top of the frame toward another square. Each player gets one chance to hit it up and out of his/her square, making it fall into another player’s square.

A player is out if:

• They hit the ball more than once in a turn
• The ball hits the ground in a player’s square
• They hit the ball out of bounds

When a player gets out, he/she rotates to the end of the line back at square one to start the rotation over, and all other players rotate forward to fill that player’s spot. The objective is to serve as the king in the center spot for as long as possible!

The frame is made of sport-grade PVC tubing for dependable, long-lasting use indoors or out. It includes legs that quickly adjust to 5′, 6′, or 7’H using a push-pin locking system to accommodate players of various heights and abilities. Rubber feet protect floors when used indoors. Tubes also use push pins to securely attach to metal connectors. When games end, the frame breaks down for compact storage and easy transportation in included carrying bags. A 25’L x 25’W level playing area is recommended. Set includes frame (18’L x 18’W; 87 lb), 1 inflatable rubber ball (15″ dia), 3 carrying bags, hardware, and activity instructions.
